P!nk has come a long way with her husband, Carey Hart.

On Monday, the singer-songwriter got candid on Instagram about the ups and downs she’s experienced during her 14-year marriage. P!nk didn’t hold back about the lessons she’s learned from her once-rocky relationship with the former motorcycle racer. As longtime fans may know, the couple tied the knot in 2006 but separated two years later. They ultimately reconciled in 2008 after going to marriage counseling and have been going strong ever since.

“He’s still my favorite sweet little dirtball. He and I have been at this a long time, and it is our relentless and stubborn idealism that keeps us together,” she captioned a photo of herself and Carey. “Marriage is awful, wonderful, comfort, and rage. It is boring, terrifying, and a total nail biter. It is loving another fallible creature while trying to love yourself. It is a lifetime of coming back to the table.”

The 40-year-old also mentioned people making fun of them for “either fighting or laughing” and “rolling their eyes” whenever they’d bring up the topic of therapy. But even so, P!nk stands by the mental health practice, which she credits for helping her marriage.

She continued: “Therapy isn’t for weak people or hippies or liberals. It’s for broken people that want to be whole. It’s for runaways that want a family. It’s a lesson on how to sit down and listen. How to love yourself so that the other person can, too. I love you babe. I’m grateful we made it to this photo.”

Without hesitation, fans of P!nk took to the comments section to share words of love and encouragement.

“❤️❤️ I love this moment. I love your words. I love your bravery. I love your loving souls,” one person wrote. “I love this so much! You guys are so rad 💘,” another added. “A beautiful message full of transparency and truth to match ♥️,” a different fan said. “I love this woman!!! Perfect words 💕,” a follower commented.

Fellows celebs also shared supportive messages for the “So What” singer, whose 2008 album, Funhouse, was inspired by her marriage.

“BEAUTIFUL!!!! ❤️,” Justin Timberlake commented. “Well said. ✨,” Reese Witherspoon wrote. “Marriage is…Oh man so true and beautifully said 💖,” Valerie Bertinelli added. “I’m so glad you have this kind of love. 💜,” Alyssa Milano responded.

Here’s proof that when two people love each other, anything is possible.
